Manage your day !!

Ore : Sunday, February 11, 2007

The way you wake up determines the way you will face the challenges of your day.

W A K E _ U P _ E A R L Y

Imagine if you can avoid to sleep one hour a day. That's 30 hours a month !!
So much time you can allocate to a new hobby or even to involve yourself in an activity you already enjoy.

I used to read an amzing book ( I need to remember its title !).
The autor, demonstrated that having one hour more a day can have a huge impact on your life or carreer.

Of course, you cannot change your inhabits overnight !

Plan your alarm clock "one minute before" the time of the previous day. 60 days = 1 hour !

I usually wake up at 6h22 am. Let's see if I can get to 5h22 am !!

Some interresting books

Ore : Thursday, February 08, 2007

Here are some amazing books. Just follow your dream ... Poetic.

P A U L O _ _ C O E L H O

" Amazon.co.uk Review: Like the one-time bestseller Jonathan Livingston Seagull, The Alchemist presents a simple fable, based on simple truths and places it in a highly unique situation. And though we may sense a bestselling formula, it is certainly not a new one: even the ancient tribal storytellers knew that this is the most successful method of entertaining an audience while slipping in a lesson or two. Brazilian storyteller Paulo Coehlo introduces Santiago, an Andalucian shepherd boy who one night dreams of a distant treasure in the Egyptian pyramids. And so he's off: leaving Spain to literally follow his dream. Along the way he meets many spiritual messengers, who come in unassuming forms such as a camel driver and a well-read Englishman. In one of the Englishman's books, Santiago first learns about the alchemists--men who believed that if a metal were heated for many years, it would free itself of all its individual properties, and what was left would be the "Soul of the World." Of course he does eventually meet an alchemist, and the ensuing student-teacher relationship clarifies much of the boy's misguided agenda, while also emboldening him to stay true to his dreams. "My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer," the boy confides to the alchemist one night as they look up at a moonless night. "Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself," the alchemist replies. "And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity."

" With The Fifth Mountain, Paulo Coelho turns his talent for spiritual fiction to the story of the Biblical prophet Elijah. Like a blossoming flower, Coelho opens up the brief account of Elijah's flight from Gilead and his time in Zarephath. He deepens the prophet's character by revealing the thoughts, doubts, and discoveries that Elijah must have experienced as he struggled to find his course in life amidst the confusion of war and political turmoil. When being a prophet of the God of the Israelites is like a warrant for your death, concerns about your chosen path are sure to arise. Perhaps it is this believability in Coelho's retelling that makes it so evocative, or it may be the bit of Old Testament wisdom he brings to popular literature of the 20th century: "the words of the lord are written in the world around us. Merely be attentive to what happens in your life, and you will discover where."

France Presidential Race ...

Ore : Thursday, February 08, 2007

After 40 years in responsabilities - Mayor, Minister, Prime Minister, President of the Republic - Jacques Chirac is finally on his way out of the french and international political scene.

Indeed, in April, 30 millions french voters will vote in the first round of the presidential race. In may, they will choose their president between the 2 first candidates of the first round.

J A C Q U E S _ _ C H I R A C

Who is he : A man attached to the power. Right wing party, De Gaulle disciple.

Main achievements: Not too much ... He basicly misused the tools of the french 5th republic.

Orientations: Pro Arab international policy. Did not always respect the real political power reality ( Severe critics on the American society, on the administration Bush, the new european countries ...).

N I C O L A S _ _ S A R K O Z Y

Who is he : A lawyer. Right wing party.

Main achievements: Sparked the French political scene, authentic in his speech, a lot of energy, a lot of charisma. Brillant man.

Orientations: A mix between Liberal and pragmatic. He does not hesitate to state his beliefs. He believes in the working class. His father is originally from hungary. Open to other cultures and to social promotion.

S E G O L E N E _ _ R O Y A L

Who is she : A traditionnal french politician. Left wing party.

Main achievements: She used her charm to seduce the media and took her party by surprise in a one year mediatic operation.

Orientations: A mix between left and whatever you are ... She has a limited experience and knowledge and adapts her speech depending on the crowd. "Against" globalisation. Did not express her program yet. She has accumulated errors on international positions (Hezbollah, Hamas, "good" justice in China, Against the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty civil nuclear developpement mesures ...)
